Crimewave Records is very excited to announce that we will be working with Connecticut hardcore legends Dead Wrong on the release of their remastered full discography on Vinyl, CD, and Digital.
The release, 'Dead Wrong - Discography' will be out in time for their reunion at Death Threat's 25th Anniversary show (Sold Out) this March in Connecticut.
Most of the tracks will be available on vinyl for the first time, which will feature remastered tracks from their CDep Hellbomb (previously released by Stillborn Records), their split CD/7" 'Dead Wrong Vs. The Banner' (previously released on War Machine Records/State of Mind Recordings), and their original demo (Self-released). The CD and Digital versions of their Discography will also include a bonus live recording of their track '21', recorded at CBGB's over two decades ago. The release will be accompanied by posters and merch as well.
Dead Wrong blends Cleveland style hardcore with old school New York Hardcore, creating a raw and punishing blend of brutal hardcore with deep lyrics. Dead Wrong's lyrics are an eye opening look into the minds of those who have been betrayed and stepped on.
Dead Wrong was formed in August of 2000 after the break up of the Connecticut band Fear Tomorrow (East Coast Empire Records).
Seann, former guitarist of Fear Tomorrow, wanted to keep going in the same direction of his former band and got together with Jack (drums). After laying out ideas, they recruited Kevin (rhythm guitar) and Brett (Bass), with Ivan finalizing the lineup on vocals.
Soon afterwards, they recorded their debut 5-song demo. After playing a couple of shows they began working on new material, and with the help of Jay Reason (Voice of Reason, The Distance) and Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed, Icepick), they saw their Hellbomb CDep on Stillborn Records.
After playing on a regular basis with bands in their local scene like Hatebreed, Death Threat, and 100 Demons, to out-of-state bands like Madball, Ringworm, and One Life Crew, Dead Wrong began working on new songs for their split with New Jersey's The Banner (Good Fight Music), which was then released on War Machine Records.
Dead Wrong's official last show was on September 20th, 2003 in Waterbury, Connecticut, after just three years as an active band. Since that time they have had a rare reunion every few years to the excitement of hardcore kids who still listen to their tracks on regular rotation. Dead Wrong are hardcore legends in the nutmeg state, with many who happily remember seeing them (and singing along or murdering people to their breakdowns) when they were active still being involved with hardcore today. We feel extremely blessed to welcome Dead Wrong to the Crimewave Records family for such an epic timeless release.
Dead Wrong will be reuniting to play the Death Threat 25th anniversary show (Sold Out) on March 17th, 2023 in Connecticut with 100 Demons, End of One, The Distance, and C4.
